CHRIST our PRAYER WARRIOR: “This is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah…” (Deut 33:7). Henry Law writes: “In Judah’s story we read prayer’s mightiest exploits. Mark David. We have a volume of his prayers. And with expiring breath he witnesses, ‘In my distress I called on the Lord, and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple…’ (2 Sam 22:7). Recall Solomon, ‘Give me now wisdom and knowledge.’ Was he not heard? Go to Abijah’s day (2 Chron 13:14). Proceed to Asa when the king sends forth this arrow (14:11). So with Jehoshaphat and Hezekiah. But Jesus, this tribe’s high pride, gives this witness: ‘I know that You always hear Me’ (Jn 11:42). Believer, pierce heaven with faith’s keen gaze. See your Jesus by the throne. What is His employ? He prays for you—for all His needy flock. And is He heard? Yes! Every petition is success. He asks and gains all that His blood purchased. You prosper and prevail because Judah’s voice is always heard.”
