CHRIST the MAKER—and REMAKER: “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made” (Jn 1:3). But our Lord was not finished MAKING when the world was finished! Through His precious sacrifice, “He has MADE US ACCEPTED in the Beloved” (Eph 1:6). And as a result, “now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are MADE NEAR by the blood of Christ” (2:13). He has also “MADE US SUITABLE to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light” (Col 1:12). And now we proclaim the gospel of the grace of God since He “also has MADE US ABLE ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit” (2 Cor 3:6). And what can we say of this astounding privilege? “To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS to His God and Father” (Rev 1:6). “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” (Ps 95:6).
