CHRIST the TIME REDEEMER: “The hour has come” (Jn 12:23). No one did as much in life as the Lord Jesus. Born in a stable, He opened heaven’s palaces to us. Rejected by His own people, He provided salvation sufficient for every sinner. Living in obscurity, He realigned the whole universe. Ted Engstrom crammed a great deal of living into his 90 years, leading World Vision, Youth for Christ, and Azusa Pacific University. Author of the well-known book, Managing Your Time, Engstrom wrote: “The watches we wear all run at exactly the same time. No one has any more—or any less time—than you. Even our Lord: He who left eternity to enter time…lived a very short span of time as we would measure it—thirty-three and a half years. And yet in spite of that recognized preciousness and the vast potentiality related to time, there’s nothing we squander quite as thoughtlessly as time.” “Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is” (Mk 13:33).
