CHRIST the REMAKER: “…so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make” (Jer 18:4). As new creatures in Christ, we are welcome in Heaven, where He has “made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (Eph 2:6-7). But we are not simply visitors in Heaven: He “has made us kings and priests to His God and Father” (Rev 1:6). “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free” (Gal 5:1); we are now free-born sons of God. And the grand objective? He has “made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ” (Eph 1:9-10). In the meantime, He continues His work, as “we all…are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory” (2 Cor 3:18).
