“A great and strong wind tore into the mountains…but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice” (1 Ki 19:11-12).
We look for Him in kingly robes, but He comes to us as a carpenter. We expect Him at the Mount of God, but He whispers to us on our daily rounds. Listen! It’s the still small voice!
