CHRIST MANIFESTED: “This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory” (Jn 2:11), that is, began to unveil His blessed character as revealing the Father. “The life was manifested,” life as God intended it to be, “and we…declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us” (1 Jn 1:2). “And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin” (1 Jn 3:8). As well, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 Jn 3:8). But more, “In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him” (1 Jn 4:9). “Now thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savor of His knowledge by us in every place” (2 Cor 2:14). And “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear [be manifested], then you shall also appear [be manifested] with Him in glory” (Col 3:4).
