CHRIST ONCE-FOR-ALL: Christ once coming into the world, once going to the cross, once entering the sanctuary, once saving every believing sinner—accomplishing infinitely more than all the offerings sacrificed by every priest in every religion in every land in every age! “Once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself” (Heb 9:26). “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit” (1 Pet 3:18). “But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands,…Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption” (Heb 9:11-12). “He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Heb 10:9-10).
