“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Eph 6:18). Notice the four alls. Pray at all times with all prayer with all perseverance for all saints.
Peter Deyneka Sr., founder of the Slavic Gospel Association, moved from Russia to the U.S. in 1914, where he encountered Christ through the preaching of Paul Rader. God called him to preach to expatriate Russians and to prepare for the opening of the door for the gospel in his former homeland.
His wife, Vera, mother to three children, was a great prayer warrior. While he labored in the gospel, she labored in intercession for the lost, for the new converts, and for renewed access for the gospel to the massive Soviet empire, spanning 12 time zones. When Vera died, their daughter Ruth gave this tribute to her mother’s life: “Prayer was as normal as breathing. Her life was a beautiful sermon. She said ‘Amen’ last Monday morning.”
