“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work” (2 Cor 9:8). All grace—let’s see.
Does God’s abounding grace provide enough so we have all we need for all circumstances in order to do all the good works available at all times? Apparently so! This is the most comprehensive promise in the Bible, with 5 alls in one sentence. No fine print. No escape clause.
Paul then quotes Psalm 112:9, “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” Yes, we are the poor upon whom He has lavishly poured His blessings. And why? So we can be Godlike! When we serve other poor folk—physically, emotionally, or spiritually—we dispense His grace through our good works. The result? “His righteousness endures forever.” God is seen to be right in a world full of wrongs, when we share His graciousness with them. Pray for good works opportunities today.
