Moorhouse and his wife, Mary, had a special needs daughter, Minnie, who was paralyzed from birth. During one period when life seemed overburdening, the Lord gave him a lovely picture of His care. Coming into the house with a package for his wife, he met Minnie in her chair. “Where is Mother?” he asked. “Upstairs,” she replied. “Can I carry the package to her?” “Why, Minnie dear,” her father replied, “how can you carry the package? You can’t even carry yourself.” With a smile, Minnie responded, “I know, Papa, but if you will give me the package, I will hold it while you carry me.” The Lord used this experience to remind the preacher that His everlasting arms are underneath.
