“Let Your mercies come also to me, O Lord—Your salvation according to Your word. So shall I have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in Your word” (Ps 119:41-42).
How true this is! The Lord’s saving mercies become an apologetic to convince others of the truth of the Word and the practical benefits of putting our trust in Him. Who but the believer in the Lord can have every moral failure so effectively wiped from heaven’s record? God puts them out of SIGHT: “He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea” (Mic 7:19). He puts them out of MIND: “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins” (Isa 43:25). And He puts them out of REACH: “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us” (Ps 103:12). It is His iron-clad covenant promise (Heb 10:14-18). Read it for yourself, believer, and thank Him for this today!
