March 25 Petition Mission

“Blessed of the Lord is his land, with the precious things of heaven, with the dew, and the deep lying beneath, with the precious fruits of the sun, with the precious produce of the months, with the best things of the ancient mountains, with the precious things of the everlasting hills,…and the favor of Him who dwelt in the bush” (Deut 33:13-16).

The character of the God you pray to will determine the character of your prayers. For Moses, it was a God who came personally to speak with him, a God who Himself needed nothing (as seen in the unburnt bush), and a God who cared and was ready to bless.

Sometimes we feel like the little boy working his crayons hard when his mother asked what he was drawing. “A picture of God,” he said. “But no one knows what God looks like,” responded his mother. “Well, they will when I’m finished.”

Getting to know intimately what it means to say, “This God is OUR God for ever and ever” (Ps 48:14, KJV) is essential for true prayer. “The favor of Him” — amazing!
